Exhibit Theme: African Americans and The Vote (https://asalh.org/black-history-themes/).

Objective: Gather information on the history of African Americans voting rights. Information will include key people involved in the fight for the right to vote, events, and/or speeches.

As in years past, on the first Sunday in February, we will show short videos on our theme during the Sunday School hour.  This presentation is a time for us to share what this month’s theme is all about.  We invite the whole church! Sis. Ramona Pratt (Y.P.D. Representative) will have the youth present for the February 2nd event.

Each Sunday we will add a new piece of information to the exhibit.  See listing below:

February 16, 2020 - Major Events (Bloody Sunday, Selma): Curated by Sister Dorothy Edwards

February 23, 2020 - Current issues and the minority vote (ex. Voter suppression, new laws): Curated by Brother Ray Hill, Sr.
